After our best start to a Superleague season what do people think so far? Who's stood out? Who's been disappointing? Where have we excelled and what do we need to improve? It seems that there is still no one taking us too seriously outside of Hull. Is this unfair on us or are we getting carried away after a few wins against mid table teams?

A bit of both I think.
We've efficiently ground out wins and nobody can argue with 4/4. The teams we have played have found it hard to look good against us as I think our gameplan has been sound each time.
On the other hand, no team is anywhere near its best at the moment and I did think Huddersfield were especially poor against us, our defence has looked a little to easily breached at times for my liking and we've squandered a lot of territorial advantage by not turning into a convincing lead which we will need to learn to do if we are to mount a serious challenge.
On the whole I'm satisfied with the start we've made but I'm hoping that our attack begins to gain some fluency soon. In particular I hope we start to use Calderwood better (long kicks and pass to him , yes Graeme Horne I'm speaking to you!) and start to use Manu a lot wider.
Our forwards as a unit have impressed me so far this year. They look a bigger, meaner lot. Richard Horne has also impressed with the speed he has got back to SL rugby.

They've stood out as a team for me. Defence good attack will improve and couldn't give a to$$ what any other fans outside West Hull think IMO

Fantastic start..not getting carried away..defence has impressed..Calderwood will excel when the grounds dry and get quicker..need to improve our concentration at the end of games..the last minute tries by the opposition will prove costly at some point. if not dealt with soon..do not care what others are thinking if they do not take us seriously it will bite them on the butt

An easy run has allowed us to get to the posistion we are in now. If we had played the likes on Leeds, Bradford, St Helens and Wakefield, we would be in the bottom half.

If it had been last season,we would have lost them games.....not firing on all cylindars on attack but defence looks good and it looks as though we are a damn sight fitter and bigger.
More still to come i think but 8/10 so far..............lets face it,cant be no worse than last season can it.

Celtic? Believe we beat Wigan early on last year as well?
