Leigh also have a history of neglecting the academy in the past (im sure there was a year when they decided not to run one). So I think Leigh aren't as innocent as their fans make out. I suppose they get this season off but they have to run one next season, they have no excuses.
I’d be delighted to discuss the RFL, development academies etc. further, but don’t want to de-rail this thread any more than I have.
One thing I am curious about is whether Leigh thought they could run a reserves team this year and just got it wrong, or whether it is a sort of act of protest. I’m writing an article on conspiracy theories in SL so I may as well try to start another. Leigh fans?

Could go two ways for me; a decisive home win, or a squeaky bum Hull win. If Leigh get a roll on, Lam will be very dangerous, he is quick and very elusive, so I hope the pack can win the middle, in which case, we can sneak this one, but not by much.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Houghton is rested tonight with it being the 2nd game in 5 days, also Laney got a knock so I’d leave him out too. Hoy Macintosh Carlos Sutcliffe Swift Trueman Clifford Sao Dwyer Fash Griffin Dre Cator Subs Tag Brown Scott Lovudua purely to cover Cator and Dwyer. Scott can cover backs and 2nd row if either get a knock

The way Leigh play, it could benefit us not having Satae playing as he will have been targeted with back to back tackles around the ruck, which he cannot really do. We now have middles with a bit more dynamism and mobility to hopefully counter what Ipape does
