I’m all for discussing consistency of the disciplinary, question some calls the ref makes (they make errors like players do) etc
But thinking a referee wants a certain team to win or RFL want certain teams to progress is embarrassing imo.
Think you guys will need Mau and particularly JR back but you’re a lot more resilient than the last few years. You’ll be highly motivated after last weeks antics. Think you’re a chance still. Wigan’s attack still isn’t great at all and the young pack can have off days (Leeds semi final last year).
No I don’t think they do, I think it’s frustration of the same seemingly differing decisions game on game that we keep seeing with nothing changing.
As I’ve said in a previous post the issue for me is the disciplinary and the lack of any seeming logic or consistency i the way it operates. The other issue that is damaging the game is the performance of the professional officials which we all know mistakes happen but some of the errors so far this season including VR have been bad. Yet nothing seems to happen and no one seems to be accountable.
All of the above I think adds to the frustration especially when certain teams do seem to get more favourable outcomes when judging on very similar offences etc.
I still think we have a chance thought it’s only a slight one.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

When the decisions seem to consistently favour the same teams under certain officials then yes you kind of do develop a question of if a bias is involved.
This isn't just a knee jerk reaction to one game or even one incident, this is season after season of the same inconsistent decisions from officials and the disciplinary panel.
The officiating needs a big overhaul and the current incompetent crowd phasing out.

Remember its a wet forecast on Saturday - an achilles heel for us. Leeds destroyed us in the rain last year as we didn't have the forward power to compete. Headingley seems a much smaller pitch to the DW so likely to be a forward battle again which could suit you.

Bookies have us as underdogs, but only generally around a 6/4 shot which seems fairly tight to me, and not much value. Think I'll be leaving alone and just hoping for the best. Looking forward to this weeks 8 live games on Watch NRL. 2 quarters on Sky, and our game and the other quarter-final on the beeb. Full pan of chips this week as I'll also be viewing the 2 Champions League semi's, the Chester May meeting, start of the Giro d'Italia and Canelo v Billy Joe, Saturday night. Might have to sacrifice Premier League darts as it clashes with the rugby. It's never easy.

The Connor ban is sort of understandable but Fash getting banned for his tackle on Bateman is a absolute joke.
I was expecting him to be coming in and attacking the knee or doing a hip drop tackle but there is literally nothing its just because Bateman gets in a weird body position and Fash drags him backwards.
If that's a ban Sam Powell would be banned every single game.

the only thing there good for is holding poor performing/bordering on corrupt referees accountable ,the one thing they never seem to be used for ? i quote the giants v robins as an example ,gaskill and the video ref should have faced suspension imo
