I value your opinion the vast majority of the time, but you really need to either lighten up or have a good long think before you post.
By your rationale, that would mean any defeat in the, either in the last game, this game, the next game or any game in the remainder of the season would have been season ending.
Were you expecting us to go the rest of the season undefeated?
We lost today for several reasons.
Lack of ball playing ability and a couple of very dumb decisions did for us. Notice the way Wigan spread the ball the full width of the pitch 3 or 4 time per set and made massive inroads meters wise? Yet even when chasing the game we didn't "hot potato" the ball. FFS we even went on the short blind side for three of those plays in that set at the end. Just shows the players are either not brave enough to trust a fellow player to hang on to the ball or we simple do not play enough off the cuff stuff.
Our kicking was poor.
Dont like singling out players, but Danny Houghton???? what was he thinking when kicking from dummy half after just 2 tackles?? That gifted Wigan Field position and even then they needed a lucky bounce off the cross bar (would be interested to see if the bloke who caught it off the bar was off side when Tomkins took the dg.
I would expect you will not be at the next game, if you think our season is over? Or are you going to actually show a bit of faith once in a while and stop being so melodramatic, which you claim not to be?
