I personally think that Agar has alot more to do with our current predicament than Thorman. Its not as if when he hasnt played we have won games but granted he has been poor but many others have too.

Oh I agree, in fact I don't really blame Agar, if soneone offered you a job that you knew deep down you couldn't do, on a hell of a salary, would you turn it down?

He was under pressure to take the job as well. I remember him saying "there's only so many times you can turn it down before they stop asking" or words to that effect.

How many other sides in Super League would appoint him as head coach?
Not many, but don't they all start out as promising 'young coaches'?, thing is if Sharp took us to 2nd and the GF why are the same fans that are after Agars head go for Sharps too? fickle springs to mind, and before someone says i've got 'blind faith', i too am not happy at the way we play, and the season(or two) we've had, but our side is full of so called, seasoned internationals, cup winners, gf winners and finalists, who to me appear to 'give it up' too easy and not fight for the cause, is that the coaches fault?
only to a certain extent, imo.
Its only 6wks ago that Wigan lost at Celtic and their fans wanted Noble out.
If we had a coach the players respected/feared do you think the players would give up so easily?
I personally dont believe you can go for been an assistant at a club to Head coach because to the players they will always deal and speak to you as if you where an assistant. There arn't too many examples in recent years in sport that an assistant has then taken on the head coaches job and been succesful.

You can't blame Agar when players drop the ball, miss tackles, give away stupid penalties etc. They are supposed to be professionals and should have mastered the basics of the game years ago.
As for respect it seems that some of the players didn't respect McRae, Kear or Peter Sharp either. It seems like the tail is wagging the dog here. Get rid of those who don't respect the coach and who have an unprofessional attitude to training and playing.
When Agar was in charge last season we played better than we have this season. We were better defensively and more enterprising in attack and much more entertaining to watch. We also had a lot of injuries as we do now. So what the difference? Answer - Jon Sharp. I believe he has been a negative influence and has contributed nothing good.
What's the solution? Sack Sharp now, give Agar a maximum of 8 games next season to prove he can do the job with the players he signed. If he can't, sack him.
