Agree, wasnt the obvious one to me either seeing how poor he was there last season for Hudds and how we look a different team with him at 7.

The kid is ready now for S/L end of.

I sort of agree with you, but the fact is that G Horne played better last season at centre, so he has started there this season (and looked good), Hall has to earn his place, this should start on Friday if Bryne is out.

Hall will get chances this year and he must take them.

The inclusion of Burnett and Briscoe this season shows that Agar is preapred to give youth players a chance.

That kind of depends on whether you see a centre as a primarily defensive position or an attacking option. Horne was much better in defence, but absolutely miles behind in attack.

Personally I prefer my centres to be attacking options, hence I prefer Hall over Horne.

Its got to be Hall, even if Bryne is 90% whats the point in riskin a player. Hopefully Hall will take his chance and we will have a battle royal for the back positions like we are creating for the forwards. Halls positioning looked good at Leeds in the friendly and he can catch the ball and could be devasting in broken field or following up Horne/Thorman/Radfords kicks

Isnt it just the HDM and their slap dash reporting saying Thorman will play there that has confused issues here. If the HDM had never reported it (baed on him moving there for 5 mins v Celtic) we would all be in agreement that Hall will play if Byrne isnt fit wouldnt we?

Absolutely spot on.

(IMO of course  )

Hall for FB...end of.

Hall is the only outside back other than Briscoe who looks as though he can create something from nothing...he's a natural attacking player and should be playing!

Hall at fullback? :?

Seen him play there a few times and thought he was terrible to be honest. Just don't see him as a full-back at all.

As much as I wouldn't want to split the half-back pairing up, I think it would be a much better option to have either Horney or Thorman at FB than anyone else at the club. I'd go with Horne, as Thorman is our play-maker. Washy, Hall or Berro at stand-off (if Berro, Houghton at hooker).

Catalans are a very good side who break the line a lot.
