According to the HDM, Andy will not be part of the first team coaching set up. And an Australian is thought to be the candidate to take over, I sense we’re on the verge of an announcement.
Sorry I’m a bit behind, was having my tea, and it’s obviously been covered, not my tea, the story

Fonua will know him and Ellis will still have contacts there. Sure AP sought their views.
The club speaks regularly to the likes of Motu, Fitz etc. Whoever it is will hardly be a random appointment given the volume and diversity of interest in the role.
This piece in the Mail is way beyond even their usual imaginations for reading it again it's obvious that a lot of the information comes directly from the Club who probably don't want to comment officially themselves at present for it describes the process s rather than the outcome. .
But for the Mail to have made it up there, is just too much detail, Looking to move in a different direction, looking in Australia, Lasty not getting the job or being involved in coaching the first team in future, (obviously a stipulation from a new Coach), Purtill staying on with Ellis, a couple of signings to come, been looking since March etc etc there is far too much detail for me.
As for Hodgson they may well have thrown that in but they imply he is in the box seat. I and several other fans heard from Adam how much he rated Hodgson way back at a Danny Houghton Testimonial Lunch at the KCom in 2017. and I said in the `diary several weeks ago that he was my bet for the job.
I know there is no room for sentiment in sport but I have to say that after what he has done in such uniquely terrible circumstances, what he has been through and the response he got from the players I feel for Lasty to be honest. He has done nothing wrong except stick with the club he loves and do as he was asked in at first, pretty mind numbing circumstances.. However, that said we need a clean sweep and a new start and if I was coming in I'd want to start with a clean coaching slate myself who wouldn't? But I guess if the mail is right about our new coach then I'm a bit underwhelmed at present.

Agree with that. I also think whoever comes will probably have a difficult pre season to negotiate with relocation, covid, and a general lack of familiarity with the club.
