I believe Shaun Johnson is off contract at the end of the year.
I don't care how old he is, I'd take him for just one season.
He'd be my number one target right now, to bring in for next season.
We also need a top class three quater.
I do think we also need a good back rower, but that may be less of a priority right now, given the fact that Ligi, Okunbor and Lane are all contracted until the end of next season., and Staveley looks a good prospect to break into that first team back row, so let's see how that goes.

"Er, what about last year when you signed Yaha, Zenon, Walker and Schneider?"
"Ha, ha, got a bite!"
Etc.
It’s not a bite, it is a consensus!

I think some of it is been said sarcastically after a very similar response from the west side of the river when rovers pulled in some loan players last year. People in glass houses and all that.
Both teams were going through injury crises, it’s exactly what loans are there for. Not sure what the issue is either way, you can’t exactly throw continuous youngsters in it will do more harm then good
As a squad were way too injury prone and brittle, really need some durable replacements brought in.
Carlos, Houghton, Cator all released for me end of season. And id be asking big questions of Scott due to injurys and trying to move Lane on.
Looking at us now and Nu Brown and Hoy possibly going home end of season then we d definatley be needing a hooker to compliment balmfort. An organising 7. A durable centreback with strike. And a second row.
Hooker Halfback Centre Second row
I think if were smart and the lads work hard, Jebson and Staveley could be our second row for the next 8-10 years.
That would free Ligi up to play looseforward.
Any commanding halfbacks ooc end of season?
We d have a quota spot to play with and hopefully some marquee money finally xx

It was more to do with bringing in loan players a week before the cup final.
Nothing to do with injuries but not wanting to risk players.
That is not what loans are for and shouldn’t be allowed.

No you’re right they was completely different ours was mid season and we was competing with the likes of Wigan and saints etc for silverware and we tried to bring in afew bodies to help us out although it failed we just don’t have the academy like them to do just yet so for us to be competitive we needed to try something,
Yours is 2 games in and plan A has failed massively and if you don’t get some loan signings in there’s a strong possibility you’ll finish bottom of the league

6 loan players, still won the same as us, in fact I'd say last season will go down in history as a season you blew your best chance to win a trophy in nearly 40 years.
Just imagine if Schneider could kick for touch....
