Respectfully, at that point - yes we would have.

Anwyay, poor defence and lack of ideas and composure let us down in the end. Good to see us come back from a 24-4 deficit to make a game of it, but ultimately we’re not good enough.

Moy….Rapana
Smith….Abdul
Charles..Seizer
Houghton/Balmforth….Cust/Borough/Balmforth
Aydin…Asiata

People may Query the recruitment but would next years spine be better……hell yes and they have got the know how how to play the situation

100% that was the moment - score there we would have been 26-24 up, with 15mins left and up on players.

Cas got back into it after that.

Moy is a butterfingers and has to learn to keep hold of the ball.
This strategy of the club signing experienced average players on 2/3 year contracts in the hope that five or six of the younger players will come through and make regular first team players is pie in the sky and doomed to failure.
Martin and Barron are the only ones i can see will make it

Thought Balmforth did well but he isn't a 70 minute hooker, Moy has work to do, particularly his link up play, seems to catch before drawing a man.

Charles is no where near ready, Grix should have taken him out of this game.

Also played Aydin too many minutes, starting to miss tackles then sin bin, hardly played Ashworth (unless injured), Sao must have been injured too.

Crazy how many injuries we get every game.

Id try and sign Eseh and release Sao.

Wingers were great, need to use them more with their speed and height.

Id rather have Laidlaw than Gardiner

I couldn't believe that set, probably the dumbest set I've seen, 11 men and we didn't try once to go wide, last tackle play pass to Ese Ese.

isnt he allowed an opinion or dont you like the possibility that hes right

My only hope is that our starting 17 next season only included Martin, Barron, Ese Ese, Ashworth, Aydin and maybe Balmforth.

Another battling defeat. Far too soft defensively in the first half took the game away from us.
Played with a 2 man bench again for 3/4s of the game which doesn't help.
The Catalans game can't come soon enough.

Thought this would happen, Cas are a poor team and any half decent team beats them.

Shame Grix is hanging around for another year.

Role on the last game let's get this season over and done with and keep our heads down as far as the East is concerned!! Then lets see what the club do to enthuse us all again????? Cas were poor but poor performance again from us, dumb rugby, wrong options with the ball and that defence at times was woeful.
"Mark and Tackle mark and tackle...... follow the ball and not the man!" : Mr Cameron Chilton Street School circa 1959! We all listened or got the belt, seems as if some of our lot never have!

Sorry to single players out but Moy is too small and Charles is never gonna make it as a top scrum half, there wasnt even a tiny glimpse of anything from him that makes it look like he could be. The loan players were both gash, Briscoe looks finished. What happened to Sao and Houghton?
