You then single out Shaul in one of the worst team performances in a long time. We'll miss him this coming season.
Bit conflicted on this point. Derbies hold more emotional importance than the average fixture but I don't think you can call a match against a team with 3 SL wins in 572 days (including one against Salford's academy) "huge". However I am looking forward to seeing Connor being a different dimension to FB. Hopefully he gets over his injury soon.

I'm aware it's a forum I feel people are nit picking with Connor, two huge performances in two huge games at fullback produced 7 assists, that shows the class of the guy in the correct pivot role, he'l improve further under Hodgson.
With it being a forum and we post opinions I think some on here have got Connors best position wrong. If your going to point out defending, and mention Shaul. Defending is one of Shauls major flaws, if you go back to the Warrington game where they hammered us last season I think it was the game we sacked Radford, I have it recorded, then watch it back and don't watch the ball for Warringtons tries, watch Shaul, you l see all his defensive flaws. Doesn't come over in the Ingoal area to cover actually just jogs or walks. Makes bad decisions coming into the defensive line when teammates are there .
Sorry but Connors a better all around fullback, doesn't have Shauls speed but makes up for that in other ways, superior reading of the game, positioning
Just my opinion , I think itl prove correct next season ..........
You're nit picking aren't you? As mentioned the Warrington game was a massive team defeat that for the most part lay at the hands of the coach, putting it all on Shaul is disgraceful and disrespectful! Shaul gets to the ball faster than Connor does on kicks, from what I've seen of Connor so far Shaul is safer under the high ball, he's able to make more metres coming out of defence than Connor and whilst I think he could do more regards on the goal line defence I feel he's able to make tackles more so than Connor ever will able to do. Yes connor hs some advantages in attack but we lose some of his guile by moving him FROM (not to) centre, with a differing coach Shaul could have had a shout at changing how he fitted into the attacking line and our ability to get the ball to the backs with more space and not always reliant on a kick from Sneyd could have negated some of Shauls' previous limitations. And whilst that limitation is frustrating it's not a massive part of the equation as to why we fail in the opposing 20 is it?
You can't now make a direct comparison going forward of Connor at FB to Shaul in a team that was disorganised, and oft imbalanced, because we have a 6 who is quality, should give us real impetuous in attack (and not too shabby in defence either from what I've seen) will hopefully play more games than the outgoing 6 and a coach who is going to do the 'small' things and improve core skills/understanding of what is required. Will Connor do well at FB, very likely, but to slander Shaul when he's only ever been under a coach with no clue regards core skills, no grasp of how backs should play (Lineham stated this after he left and worked under Hodgson) and latterly in a team getting record wallopings is massively unfair!

shaul is still a good FB and when fit woulds start there imo, but connor has got the position for most of this year so lets see how it goes, nice problem to have when both fit

Jake has hands like shovels, he’s safe and confident under most high balls, he did make a couple of uncharacteristic blobs under swirling high bombs, don’t remember which game it was.
Taking kick returns from whichever position he plays, he’s probably the safest pair of hands in the team.
Speed is a funny thing, some have it over a few meters, then slow off, Jamie has genuine pace, and has shown many times he’s a match winner, and dangerous threat.
Jake has all the promise of an outstanding footballer, and we will hopefully see this massive potential unfold on the pitch under our new coach.
In my humble opinion, the most important thing Brett needs to concentrate on, is get them all fit, as in the recent past, Hulls fitness levels seemed a way behind other teams.

it's you who are clearly unable or unwilling to enter into a proper conversation, you stopped reading because you flog a player who has done very well for us and I disagreed, thought you were being very disrespectful and your response is that., that really is special, it really clarifies your level. Grow up and debate like an adult or is playground slanging all you can do?
