James Ford or Danny Ward not for me at the time, nor Fitzgibbon....
Out of the 3 you have mentioned Brown is the only one I would go near the other 2 are both dinosaurs especially Griffin some of the stuff which came out about him when Penrith sacked him was ridiculous.

Whoever it is I think has to be from outside of the club as just all seemed all too cosy and pally pally under Radford and Last and no real accountability. You could clearly see last night on the field there is a problem in the team, alot was said about Connors outburst at the end of last season but there was quite a bit if that going on on the field last night.
I think an experienced coach who can get a togetherness back in to the squad and toughen them up mentally, get a structure to our game and improve discipline in needed.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
Flanagan , griffin or kearney . Who ever comes in needs to sort the dummy spitting mates culture we seem to have . Some players should have been dropped throughout the last couple of seasons regardless of ego's or senior positions held within the team

Anyone have a list of OOC players, I know Houghton and Shaul are, as it stands now I'm not sure I'd be offering either of these a new contract.
Think the new coach has some tough decisions to make.
I think houghton and shaul will both get back to the best under a new coaching set up, just wish the new coach would of got a pre season with the squad

Houghton might do, Shaul doesn't have the skill set to be a top FB.

I agree. Can't remember the last good game Houghton had. People will talk about his tackling etc. but the reason he makes so many is because teams run at him. He doesn't dominate tackles, so he is easy to get a quick play the ball against. His distribution is pretty poor, decision making worse, and looks grumpy all the time. Hardly an inspiring captain

He has stopped doing those runs and he often set up trys close to the line with a good pass, that seems to have gone. He will be along with Shaul a high earner, I'm not saying we get of either yet, but it shouldn't be a given they get a deal like it would have been with Radford.
Certainly shouldn't be captain, but not sure which should be.

Its a chance for them all now to take a good hard look at themselves both individually and as a team, they all have a fresh start and need to take and use the opportunity.
Any that do not then they can not expect to be offered new deals and rightly so.
