.... but it might tire out Warrington, or not, it all depends.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Haven't read the whole thread, but my take on Frank is that he needs to do more, he doesn't look fit and he needs to be played out wide and with pace around him.

knockersbumpMKII wrote:So you came up with some 'stats' regarding soccer pitch markings, well done but incorrect, the Kcom pitch is the same width which I haven't disputed, it has to be to meet the requirements. But for rugby there is a difference as I stated, the wembley pitch will be exactly 100m from try line to try line, the rugby pitch at the Kcom isn't.
It's approx 96-97metres
currently since they facked around with it, this is noticeable even just by looking at the discrepency of the 10m markings.
So yes, the new wembley pitch is bigger than our rugby marked pitch.

The old Wembley pitch was a lot wider longer than most soccer pitches of the day and they had to narrow the pitch of the new wembley for it to meet the standardised soccer pitch regs.

There were no details available for RL pitch markings.

100m or 97m in length is hardly material in difference

The length of the pitch is not as much of an issue as the width, which creates more space.

Its a non-issue

Full size RL pitch is 100mx 68m
Minimum 97mx55m.......I think Cas and Wakey are in this bracket

The Wembley 'football pitch is 105mx67m

Hahaaaa yeah I agree, just putting some dimensions in there when people say Wembley would suit Wire with their expansive game, they probably have a slightly narrower pitch, I believe we play nearly to maximum size.

Agree with this his best position is out wide he's a monster for centres and wings to handle and he needs game time, I would get a few 80 minute performances into him, but I would if fit play him at Wembley he is a strike player and can come up with x factor plays and off loads he would be a loss if not available at Wembley my starting team would be the same has Friday my bench would be Bowden Green washy and Pritchard, Tommo 18th man any injuries in the backs Naughton would come in, halfs Abdul, and forwards Tommo great cover
