It seems the man of steel must play for a successful team??
Danny Houghton is doing this season what he has done for the last 5 or 6 seasons on the trot. Only this season he is getting the much overdue recognition he deserves

With Bateman potentially ruling himself out it narrows the field a bit. Think Stewart at Catalans has a massive chance personally, been brilliant for them thus far.
The fact that he kept calling Mark Sneyd "Mark Snide" over and over again lends me to think he rarely watches Hull play! Even without commentary, the fans shout his name after every kick!

To be honest I called him that for pretty much his first full season with us. And I obviously watched him at Cas. It just felt easier.

To be fair, I think rather than the individual performances, its the effect Ellis has on the entire team when he is on the field which will see him in with a shout for MoS.
To be fair to Martyn Sadler, he does tend to have his own opinion, rather than Dave Parker, who it would appear, gets his rumours from this forum.

Decent list, with the four in bold out in front I think.
Houghton & Ellis have been immense for us, as has Taylor, but Ellis is by far our most influential player.
Sandow is class and Hill is/will be in the running every season he's that good.
Not sure on Gidley, he's had a couple of shockers, but no doubting his quality.
Bateman would've been a decent shout a week or so ago, but I can't imagine many players voting for him.
Struggling to think of many more - always been impressed with Stewart at Catalans, Gale & Brown have both had decent years. Maybe Currie could be in with a shout with a decent 2nd half of the season. Solomona has racked up a shed load of tries too.

I'm looking forward to watch Friday's game, I will watch houghton and Ellis more closely, haven't seen much of hull this year to be honest, massive game for both . Sandow has been outstanding for us this year, he really is class

I thought martyn sadler got his info from his son in law?
Sneyd should be in with a shout for it in my opinion. He takes us around the pitch so well and his game management has won us countless games this season. Houghton, Ellis and Taylor have all been fantastic too, and I'd give Houghton the best chance of winning it if the form continues as it has been in recent weeks.
The fact that we are even debating which Hull FC player has the best chance of winning a Man of Steel award speaks volumes about how well this team is playing.
