If he was playing in a good pack with three impact props, he'd be seen as invaluable by the same people who slag him off now. His workrate would allow the impact players to be used in shorter spells and his contribution would be there for all to see.
Because he's a similar type of player to the deadwood we have (albeit a far better exponent of that style of play), he tends to get (unfairly) lumped in with them.
Exactly correct.

Bollox. The CC win was a team effort - take a look at the games and you can see the contribution from everyone involved.
As for the GF win - Cooke was gash during the latter half of the season (folk forget that he did have out-of-form periods) and the winning run that got us to the GF was more down to Horne than any one other player.
The longer ago he left the better he gets for some people.

Rumour or not, I'm finding it hard to even want to attend lack lustre performances these days anyway, if PC came back I'd instantly stop going altogether, till ALL areas of management and PC left the club and we as fans stopped getting the p*$$ taken out of us.
I couldn't give a damn if the guy that had done the dirty on us was Andrew Johns at the peak of his game, you just can't let people walk all over you and get away with it by letting them back in, how does that make people think of you as a "discipline based organisation"?!
It would officially be the last straw for me personally as an FC fan for the foreseeable future. "In any kind of weather" is fine in all barring a few horrendous scenarios and if this awful rumour became true, this would be one of those few horrendously bad scenarios.
I never want to see that JOKE put on the black and white of OUR club ever again!!

I was going to post a reply to this thread, but everything I think is said here!
I want Hull to be successful as much as anyone, but not at any cost!!

we don't need cooke as a triangle of long, horne and washbrook would work very well. don't think cooke is any better than washbrook infact before injury i would have said washbrook was the better player
Got a big feeling Horne will move to FB next season, Tansey will be used as a direct replacement for Byrne and Turner as G.Hornes replacement.
