Just caught up with the game. Wigan were white hot. Think Rovers had one completed set in the first 10/15 mins, always difficult to come back from that never mind Wigan putting 18 points on them.
I'd love to see Catalans win next week, but Wigan are in great form. Its hard to see past them

Rovers best season either reminds.me of ours in 2013, lost in the Cup final and won first play off game before getting hammered by Hudds in the next round.
Gentle got sacked after that season and I remember the season more from those losses than the positives, in a few years so will Rovers fans.

Good comparison that Dave.
With Wigan in a "transition" season and strengthening for next year we could be on the cusp of another era of their dominance. Interesting what Warrington might do next season too with their £££ and a new regime.

Coincidentally, that was about the time Rovers were signing young players who weren’t very good and fans were talking about their potential… and more experienced players who weren’t very good but therefore had “a point to prove”… and celebrating a lack of depth as providing opportunities for academy products. Imitation as the insanest form of flattery.
We are so very alike. Can you imagine how joyless this would be without each other’s misery?

I almost believed you until you mentioned using players from the academy.

I only said we talked about it!
Tbf, Matty Marsh, Will Jubb, Kieran Moran and Steven Holker all got opportunities… and have Wikipedia pages. I wonder what proportion of people from Hull with Wikipedia pages are/were RL players.

Now there's a job to keep someone occupied through the long dark winter months!!!! I'll let you do the research on that one!! Give me a shout when you've finished the task!!!!
I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.
