Is that manned by councillors too? For all the mithering about the SMC not giving the council a return on the KC, what do the council get from owning the freehold of Craven Park? What are the arrangements here, commercial and management?
Not such a clever deflection cockle and a bit of an own goal if I might say. I think the council, indeed any council, would rather receive any rent, even peppercorn rent than have a SMC which has been said subsidises the rugby club by 1 million pounds a year

This is how unsupported statements become fact. Someone makes a business claim not bourne out by financial reports, others repeat the unsubstantiated claim and hey presto "Allam the man of the people" myth is promulgated. Give your head a tap.

1Not deflecting, we were discussing 3rd party management of sports stadia and the comparator of KCD which I understand has the peppercorn lease with the council is a sound one I think. What are the and commercial arrangements here, as perhaps there are lessons for the SMC to take? 2 I mention the subsidy in a reply to Mild Rover. 3 As I do the mysterious and seismic shift in cost allocation in SMC accounts and suggest a forensic review of costs, income and allocations.
Second half broadcasted on RH this morning. From all accounts, Mr Allam junior came out of the interview with even less credibility than he had(?) before.

Aye - all you need is an idiot or two to believe it despite evidence being in absentia.

Must resist the urge to bring up the thread when AP bought the club (and his year on year statements prior to season ticket sales) with regards to his intentions and promises then.
