I'm surprised we don't have a DOR given all of the massive off-field changes that are going to be happening at the club.

We simply have not produced enough SL quality players for years given the quality of local talent. However it looks like the foundations are now in place to rectify this.
I was surprised when Shenton was appointed but it could be the clubs most important signing in a long time.
Still wont surprise me to see Gaz and Shenton in the coach and assistant role. Plenty of respect there and we know Gaz is doing a great job on the defensive side of the game. May be rookies but we have seen many experienced coaches fail and Peet not doing a bad job at Wigan. Apart from Hodgsons very poor recruitment he comes accross as been too nice and definitely too loyal to certain players

Mint, Lane, Fash, Brown, Bowden, Saul, Tag and now Wynne. A couple in other teams. It's not enough, especially from the last few years.
Looking at our current u18s looks so much more hopeful. We have brought kids in from all over and seem to have more prospects than since at least 2016. I'm liking this new direction but only time will tell if it's worked.

The club are putting more emphasis on the youth over next couple of seasons that's why Adams put more investment (which was needed). Shenton looking a great appointment, the like of Staveley, Balmforth, Hookem and a few others highly rated, lets hope they can take the next step.
Always the Optimist never the Pessimist. Glass Half full not half empty man me.
Think he's doing a good job together with Shenton concerning the youngsters. Tonight he was stripped of Connor Tuime Griffin Swift Gale Davellio Cator. No wonder we are struggling. Not all down to Hodgson
