How many experienced top class head coaches come to Super League? They are few and far between. Nathan Brown, I suppose. Michael Maguire had only been an assistant in the NRL. Peter Gentle had as much experience when he came to us and that didn't work out.
Adrian Lam was only ever assistant in the NRL I believe (had a brief spell as head coach of the PNG national team). Steve Price got the boot from the Dragons with a winning ratio of 36%. Tim Sheens hasn't pulled up any trees over here.

Not asking for much but they are out there.
If only it were that simple, look at the Premiership, most teams throw more money around on coaches and players than the whole of SL could possibly dream about and still achieve nothing.
And we've got no money.
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Different game so you cant compare We all know there is little money in our game but we need a coach. All the top teams in S/L have overseas coaches.

The most successful coaches in the superleague era are all British, two of them are still coaching (sort of).

You may be right but misses the point The top three teams in S/L all have overseas coaches. You only have to look at St Helens when they changed Cunningham to see how they have developed. No point us supporters arguing because there is only one man at the club who can make the call and thats Adam Pearson and i think he will.

I would love a top class coach, but we ain't getting one on the budget I suspect we are on. So the question is what can we get for our money? I'm personally a fan of Danny Ward but he's another gamble I admit.
