Green will probably miss out despite having a sound game against Widnes and we can always move Ellis to front row Hadley certainly shores up our right side defence and this may be be enough for Radford to include him . Thompson offers more go forward but was fairly quiet against Widnes. definately between Thompson and Hadley For me Thompson
I agree. I like the energy Thompson brings off the bench and the uncertainty he creates in the oppositions defence with his runs.
Hadley IMO is the type of player who is more suited as a starting 2nd rower. Good engine, very strong and dependable in defence and willing to do the hard yards. Obviously he has Mini & Manu in front of him at the moment. He certainly brought stability when he's slotted into that right hand side.

Noticeable absentees are Russell and Westwood.
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

I'd tend to agree. I think we have more quality spread throughout the squad but we don't have the star man in sandow that you do and, ultimately, it's players like that who win tight games which is where we're likely to fall down later in the season. If we did pick up a quality half then we'd certainly take some beating

Spot on Jake,we are a quality half away from being the real deal. Maybe if Sandow breaks our line several times and runs us ragged the club may change their mind about Carlos being the answer to a running 6. The difference in team performance when Sandow,Danny Brough,Lui,Brown,Campese,Carney and Roberts make when they are playing is significant and is what we are clearly missing.

... and I'm down in Winchester on Friday evening, no chance of seeing the game locally, they'll all be showing the Euro 2016 opener. Guess I'll be following on Twitter.
