Spoke to Broughs best mate after the game yesterday and Hull are trying to get Brough here ASAP, AP and Radford really want him and Brough wants to come back (wife wants to move back to Hull, Hudds have a policy that players must live in the area)
There are a few issues with the deal, the first is Hudds don't want to let him go, the 2nd is that Brough has an amazing deal there which includes a coaching job when he finishes, he is worried that the Hull deal might get taken off the table, if something happens to Radford the next few games. Certainly not a done deal, but according to his friend, it is pretty likely.

I would think they would have to be some movement of players, some on loan and maybe Whiting out.

Been saying for ages that a game manager is what we're missing. Sounds to me like there are too many obstacles but would be ideal. If Hudds see him as coaching material then he'd certainly be valuable in bringing through the young halves.
He's going to want at least a 2 1/2 year deal to come. Do we really want to be going down the road of another mid 30's half back tying up a big chunk of salary cap?

I'd be surprised if there are many senior half backs who don't take up a fair chunk of their club's cap. His age is a concern but a quick look at the last few years stats suggest he routinely plays 30 games. Think we could do worse.
I'd be happy though, last season Brough was top in Super League for try assists and attacking kicks as well as kicking twice as many forty-twenties as anyone else.

If a player wants to leave, there isn't too much they can do.
