You misunderstood. We have too much quality in the players we have that they should win just by being much better quality players almost to a man even with poor coaching or without a coach at all. That's my summation on the quality gap between the players of our team and Wakefield's. I posed the questoon that no matter what might be happening behind the scenes here (and indeed wakey) we should come out on top. The way I worded the question introduces an element of doubt (in my mind) even with that vast differential in quality but still feel we should win comfortably.

I agree that on paper we look better than Wakey. But on paper and on the pitch are two different things and there's other factors to throw into the mix. We don't know what our response is going to be to the defeat and players meeting last week. It needs to be positive but that is by no means a guarantee. And then there's Wakey themselves. A new coach can often provide a boost for a club. Particularly in the first game when everyone is out to impress.
Whilst I have confidence we can get a win I don't think it's a sure thing.

I would rather face a team coached by Chester and Brian Smith that's for sure.
If we lose I would sack Radford, as the team on the pitch is so far apart in terms of quality that a loss is just unacceptable and there is something wrong behind the scenes.
How many of Wakey expected side would get into Hull's 17? Maybe Simon?

Seems unlikely.
You can be a pedant sometimes, Kosh, something to do with being a mod (not the Lambretta type) I meant, as you well know, leave of his own volition. Something Smithy does regularly

When we played them we played some of the worst rugby I've ever seen us play (trust me it was that bad) and we still only lost because we didn't kick the goals. They were truly awful and you'll win on size alone. If you do lose then you'd have to ask if its a conscious decision to get rid of the coach.

Sounds similar to when Allam wanted the KC.
Allam "Can I have the KC and West Park for free please?"
Council "no mate"

While I readily admit to being a pedant (and I was long before I became a mod) on this occasion I was being sarcastic/TIC. Probably the lack of smileys that threw you off.
