2 points that I find amazing from reading this thread.
1. What's all this talk of Berrigan, he's walked out remember.
2. Motu had at the most 3 bad games at full back and has never lived it down despite numerous good games there, Hall continually fecks up and yet people on here defend him.

It won't "work" but it might stop Salfords half backs from working and that together with stopping their big forwards is key if the cup game is anything to go by. Let's face it , it's going to be a grind and regrettably our best chance is to stop them and then look to Manu , Horne , Whiting and Calderwood to create something wider out on the back of some repeat sets. Can't see it being pretty and we have to stop Smith and Myler.

Not defending Hall but my point is why the hell would we play a Leeds youngster in front of one of our own. Fine Hall at fullbackis not working out in recent weeks so put him on the wing, don't srop him completely and bring in a Leeds youngster.
Sums up everything that is wrong with our club at the minute, Agar must be fooking clueless.

The thing which annoys me reagarding Hall is that there must be something personal between Agar and Hall as any chance of having a sly dig regarding Hall, Agar seems to take it IMO.
I agree that Hall tends to be the only player who gets dropped etc for having a bad game but personally I think he deserves dropping after his recent displays. I'm a fan of Hall's but his attacking play is not worth the number of errors he is making in crucial areas of the pitch. Personally I would have played him on the wing but I dont think its the major travesty that some people are making out.

Hall's a confidence player, and at the moment his confidence is non-existent. It's always difficult at that point to decide whether it's better to drop him while he gets his head together or keep him in the squad and see if he can play through it.
I'd have liked to have seen him in at centre or wing where he has more experience and may feel more comfortable, but maybe he's in such a state that he's better off with some time out.
I can't help but feel that we've ruined Hall TBH. I hope I'm wrong.
Hold on to me baby, his bony hands will do you no harm It said in the cards, we lost our souls to the Nameless One

Totally agree with that he's still got potential but is error prone and has cost us tries recently. Not the only one of course but he's been out of position and suffering. The whole Reardon episode was an attempt to get him out of the firing line and reduce his exposure at FB I'm sure. What he should be doing is seriously threatening both the current centres who have also been poor and have cost us tries with shoddy defensive work. I would like to see Hall in at centre very soon if Yeaman and Horne can't improve. Whiting should be played at loose forward immediately and not in the centre.
