The entire culture of snap judgements on players amongst many Hull fans is quite frankly laughable IMO.

I trust my judgement on things like this and dont count it as a snap judgement. The guy is obviously not fit but he has shown enough in the 2 games he has played to justify for me his signing and the opportunity he is getting.

I actually find the culture of constant negativity by some fans frankly laughable too!

To be fair Rovers have got alot of english players who have come through there academy like Cooke  ,Wheeldon  ,Briscoe  ,Fox  and Cockayne  . At least Moa is coming over at a young age and we havent a people like Menzies who is 35.

He won't be around for much longer.

Didn't you say you thought Moa was going to be the real deal before he even got here?

And I'm not being funny, but 2 15 minute spells and possibly a few World Cup appearances is still a snap decision IMO. For all you know you could be watching the best 8 months of form he'll have in his entire career.

I actually think he has shown enough to suggest he'll go on to justify his addition, all I've said is that I don't think he currently justifies a secure place in the 17 and all the hype he is getting.

I know you were being a bit sarcastic, but I don't actually think I'm amongst those who are constantly negative. I find it a little ridiculous that many fans get silly about how quickly they rate certain players so much, or vice versa.

Yup, the talk coming from our coaching staff etc made me feel like he can be the real deal and i still believe that.

If we get the best 8 months of his career and he helps us to a top 2 spot then fair enough, i wont be complaining. I will next year though if we keep him and he goes backwards.

You arent a negative poster, i just think that when we win 5 out of 5 after the poor season we had last year its everyones right to get a little bit carried away and enjoy what we are going through. Its a typical British thing to keep saying 'keep feet grounded' or 'lets stay level headed' etc, but lets be honest, on a run like we are having why cant people start to get a little excited and enjoy it?

How anyone can moan at Hull signing Moa considering how much local and British talen we have in the squad is beyond me. He is completely different to any other prop we have and is exactly what we need to give us more balance. Yes he is raw and needs to be made into a better player but imo if we get it right with him then we will have a top player on our hands.

As for Maloney I would have liked to see him have a game by now but you have to trust Agar's judgment and for whatever reason he is holding him back just now. Myabe the fact our props have been outstanding is one reason for it?

I would imagine that Moa is playing because he offers something different to what we have already in the pack. The pack is playing superbly so far but Moa is an out and out battering ram and impact player from the bench. In my view he is getting in the team on that basis – no other reason but he offers something different which the coaching staff want as part of the balance of the team. The likes of Maloney will get their chance when the inevitable injuries to other similar types of player to him occur. Moa will have a very big challenge to keep his place when Lauaki arrives as they would appear by all accounts to be similar players. Moa needs more fitness for sure but he’s not going to get that by being left out. He is in because the coaches want a player of his type available to them during the game.

Dowes and Cusack do the hard work and lay the foundation for the impact players which Moa,Thacks and Lauika?...will do....Personally feel King is now a spent force and will only play when injuries permit or in a cup game.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.

Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

carl_spackler wrote:But he doesn't always complete the tackle, much like King is criticised on here for doing. But it doesn't matter, because Moa has already been deemed worthy of the 'god club'.

The big crunching hits aren't really just to tackle some one and kill off the play done early enough and at the right time makes the opponents key players think twice about what they are doing and maybe make them hurry plays.

Aussies do this a lot and its something we have been missing for ages I think. Im sure Crocker will show us more of this when he gets here! :D
