Poor signing for mine, and we'll need a pass for the car park at Red Hall too

It was only a couple of season ago we had Wierbargate hitting the press, putting Westy, Watts & McGoldrick together unfortunately is not a good idea, McGoldrick won't change why should he is nearing the end of his career.
You can't go around baby sitting players or not signing players because they may react differently. Who is running this squad ? Us, the players or Peter Gentle ?
Anything can happen when you sign a player, you dont know McGoldrick wont change and you don't how bad the problem is. In fact it could be that on his day off he may like to get totally smashed, then so be it. I don't believe for one second he wakes up in the morning and has a drink straight away or thinks have having a drink all the time. The way you are going on your making out like they are all alcoholics who will be drinking during training.
Personally I have had enough discussion on this matter for one day anyway.

The sad thing is, if McGoldrick ends up being a pretty decent signing and also manages to somehow kick start his career again, how many on here will congratulate him or say they were wrong. Not many, because some people just love to be negative.
As I say he won't be first choice, so I don't know why people are overreacting like he is going to be playing every week.
But just as one game/mistake doesn't make anyone a bad player, nor would McGoldrick having a good game change the fact that for several years he's been a substandard cheap shot merchant.
There a few players I wouldn't want the club to stoop to, he's one of them. I'd sooner the club contracted syphilis than him.

I can't believe some on here are trying to convince me that this is a decent signing. Probably the same individuals who thought O'Carroll and Jamie Ellis were better than mediocre!!

O'Carroll would be a decent prop if he could stay fit for more than three games at a time. Agree about McGoldrick, though - how anyone can see his potential signing as anything other than a massive disappointment is beyond my comprehension.

Plus why release Ellis and sign tattooman? Surely Ellis would be cheaper and as likely to get a game?
