I'll be really disappointed in Hodgson if he plays either JJ or Houghton at 7, its the easy option to take and a really short term choice.
We should win this game if either those or Hookem play 7, but it sends out a message to young players that it will be hard to get a place in the 17 after a few injuries.
If one of the top teams have a player that they think are ready and they get an injury, they would bring in that player rather than move a few players about.

Totally agree dave we need to be showing the younger lads and future young lads we sign that there is a pathway to the first team. I only hope if he is going for JJ at 7 then he is giving lovaduo the freedom to attack the line tomorrow

Can’t argue with either post. I’d be very disappointed especially after what Hodgson himself said at the end of last season in regards to Hookem. Putting Johnstone in the halves just doesn’t really make much sense at all to me. As others have said if the top clubs have a player out they tend to use a young up and coming player who plays the position rather than move players around etc. this is where we have failed previously as we tended to go for the short term fix rather than using the up and coming player and giving them the opportunity.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

In the same way as a broken clock is right twice a day, spout enough poop and you're bound to get it right eventually
