Wembley 1980? If so, I don't recall it. I was only 12 at the time and only saw the game at Wembley.
Not many video recorders around in those days and have never seen a replay of the match since, only the two tries on old BBC footage. I know Rovers fans used to mention the victory up to last August, but they don't seem to talk much about Wembley these days for some reason.
Can't recall it being a major controversial moment in Derby history, unlike Green's Magic try and Dobson's Dan Marino 50 yard forward pass touchdown the previous year.

Indeed it was . As I remember it - Lloyd sent Bray over in the corner, Casey came in late on Lloyd (surprise, surprise!) after he had passed the ball. Lindop penalised Lloyd for obstruction!

No you're right re 1980. Ridiculous decision by Lindop but 83 was even worse. Stone had a bad cut on his head, Fev player, think it was' bugger he was on the tip of my tongue came up from the fair tackle covered in Stones blood, Ref reacted badly. Happened right in front of me.

Remembered it was David Hobbs, double try scorer and goal kicker, Lance Todd trophy winner. Recovered from the so called head but to kick the winning goal.

Not much confidence to be taken from that performance, we were dog turd, Widnes sucked more that's all. Our only hope will be the "suspect package" routine

Thought Kelly and Blair put in good performances. Couple of good offloads from Tilse as well!
