After this good news, some are looking back and making comparisons with Gentle ? not really sure why ?
When PG came, he too was an untried first team coach like Radford. So a rookie too, who albeit had been working under one of the best around, so I felt that at last we had our man. But in the final analysis he didn't deliver. I was disappointed when he went as I liked the guy. But thats not enough is it. He threatened on occasions to get us to play but it was just never consistently good enough. Wembley could have been his springboard but it ended up his trap door. As a first time coach his behind the scenes organisation and management were questioned by AP, and rightly so. The Huddersfield debacle was his final nail.
When LR came I was very surprised but prepared to give another Rookie a chance. His plan was about improving all things slowly, The culture of the Organisation, a new firmer, straight talking management style, recruitment of Key Personnel in Motu, offloading quickly those he believed not suited to his culture and quality standard. The first 2 years for any Rookie are going to be difficult learning years, even more so when your carrying out root and branch change to a sleeping giant. But my word is it now starting to bear fruit. I believe we have the best young coach in SL. He has created a club model that will be self supporting. He has an outstanding recruitment record. He is on the cusp of creating the holy grail of a winning mentality, we are now equal 2nd in the league and playing a brand of rugby not seen here for many a year. I'm as excited about what I see now as when we brought in Farrar, Knocker, Sammy and Charlie. We've waited a long time and now we should will be able to knock on the trophy cabinet door for a few years to come. A 3 year deal for Lee Radford is excellent news and will be celebrated in my house. And from AP, a massive statement of confidence and continuity in what is happening at our great club.

I'm pretty sure I said in my post that Radford is the best coach in the league, why would it bug me that he's doing a great job? (answer that please), and he's not proving me wrong, I've tipped us for Silverware.
You've dropped a clanger there sunshine, or maybe you didn't understand and have jumped to the wrong conclusion.
When we win the title, this is what I'll sing We are the champions, We are the champions Radford is our king
To be fair to the Wizard, your post did come over as a sarcastic comment, I read it twice

Not sure if you knew him, but there used to be a member on here called Standee, who constantly criticised Radford.
He used to call him (B)Radford, and used to always tell us members defending Radford that "It'll be jam tomorrow and that we accept mediocrity.
Now go back and read my post and tell me if you still think I'm being sarcastic about Radders, I was having a pop at the member Standee, where ever he may be.
To be fair to me, I just got a tirade of abuse by Wizard for championing Radford.

Sorry but I did say it came over as sarcasm, I understood, after reading the post a second time that it wasn't, I assume, the Wizard did the same and reacted. By the way, conspiracy theorists would have it that Martin is back in the guise of Eastcoastfc??????

Ok having read it again, I can sort of see where you're coming from, particularly the last part where I was quoting Standees saying's, It's probably just the way I writ it down, I do sometimes tend to end up writing in riddles.

No probs. By the way, I tipped us for a cheeky top four plus a good cup run. As Buzz Lightyear says, "to infinity and beyond".

Really good lengthy interview by Gollum with Radders on Humberside last night after the contract extension.announcement. Spoke very well of where we were and where he wants us to be. Committment and desire never been a problem with Lee. A few of us on here have actually got that and been unwavering in our support.
