I'm glad you put that up, because we have learnt two things,
From what the ref saw he was right to sin bin both players Mcguire was lucky not to get sin-binned earlier as the ref spoke to him 5/6 times during the match.
Most Hull fans agree that Sneyd deserves a ban and the grade the RFL have given him is fair IMO (Should be 3 matches based on the Elima one last year)
What annoyed me and other Hull fans is Mcdermott claiming he had broken it, without any evidence, which causes a storm with media and fans and the Leeds fans claiming Sneyd should be banned for 10-12 games, when he doesn't deserve that.

Hicks says they have looked at it and identified 2 twists. So might well give more than 5 games. It's a guide not a limit. I recon he will get 7 or 8 games if they have identifed 2 attempts.

If he gets 7-8 games I'll be amazed. 3 game ban no more, it was stupid, heat of the moment and all that. Watch it in slow motion and it looks miles worst than it was like everything else does.

If we lose him for 3+ matches we'll really struggle in those games, particularly with mini likely out and maybe pryce, it will be a tall order for us to get anything out of Friday's game
Largely not Sneyd's fault IMO, he's just the latest victim in the FC scrum half shirt. For the run of games where we consistently upped our option runners, support play and ptb speed he looked exactly what we need, it's not coincidence. Unfortunately if we now get back to that on Friday he probably won't be available to reap the benefit.

That's unlikely as the grade he is up for is maximum 5 matches and he hasn't been cited for two separate incidents.

I'd be amazed if he got more than 3, they usually take previous into consideration and he's not been up for this kind of thing before. The thing that is a surprise is if Hicks says he saw 2 twists then why that would add intent which on first view doesn't seem to there, as has been said more a clumsy attempt to slow it down in the heat of the moment

If Elima got 4, who has a much worst record than Sneyd and Mcguire isn't as badly injured as first thought it should be 3.
I'd take that as he would be back for the last 3 games of the season, we still should still have enough to beat Wakey both home and away if we play near our potential.

I've never really understood why the injury should matter, is a cannonball that smashes a knee any worse than one that doesn't, does Mcguires final prognosis really make the tackle any better or worse thats just the luck / bad luck factor. Its all a matter of possible consequences and intent. Hence why he's up on a 3-5 not a 4-8 I would assume.

Agree with that. Hopefully the panel will too. It was a bad one but the inflaming of the situation isn't helping a fair assessment. Minimum ban will do me.
On the other hand it appears to be open season on kicking FC players in the head. "Accidental" and "minimal contact" being the way round it (even though these would appear to have Grade B and up guidelines)
