FAO Mr Duffen
I am writing in objection to your unexplained decision NOT to permit an International RL match later this year at the KC Stadium.
You shouldn't have to be reminded that the stadium is for the benefit of the whole of the community and not the sole use of Hull City AFC. It's not a Hull City thing, it's more likely a commercial decision. RL simply isn't commercially attractive.
The bulk of the community don't care about RL. 12,000 over a dozen or so games...
There have been many International RL matches in this City well before you came here, some were played at Boothferry Park to accommodate the vast RL following in this City, not just Hull FC and Hull KR but the 1000s played at amateur and junior levels that play in and around the Hull and district area.
It had to be played at the football stadium because RL Stadiums are not built with big crowds in mind. Your comment disproves your point.
You need to be reminded Mr Duffen that this is also a RL City, and your unexplained decision to deny us the RL supporter the privilige to support our National team is deplorable and insulting. You can support your national team, at whatever venue decides to host the event. From a business perspective, it seems it's not cost effective here.
24000 RL supporters attended games at the KC and Craven Park over the last two games in Super League, you have no right to deny us the privilige to support our game. In the first place, it would seem he does have the right to not play it at the KC. In the second he's not stopping you watching it.

You're only called FC, because you know football is far more popular.
Doesnt matter that im red and white, im with all the posters on here. 4 internationals and all crowds of 20000+, of which I attended all. Its a disgrace and I hope the SMC realise we may be overlooked in the future.
I am writing to air my outrage at the decion taken by Mr Duffen of the SMC to deny all the supporters of RL at all levels, not only of our own city but that of many RL supporters across the country, an opportunity to support our national RL team at the KC Stadium.
By the very fact that he (Mr Duffen) is 'unavailable' to comment leaves us RL supporters of the opinion that the decision made was in the interest of Hull City AFC, and not that of the whole of the community for which the stadium was built. I also think that you and the rest of the council should have made loud and strong support for the event to be held, and equally strong protestations to the SMC at their decision not to.
Mr Duffen and the SMC, and yourselves as councillors of our City have shown a complete lack of respect and manners to the RFL, and utter contempt of the RL supporters of Hull, and have totally let us down.
I am utterly perplexed as to how Mr Duffen has the authority to over rule what should have been a strong support from the council to hold this event.
RL International matches have traditionally been awarded to Hull as a reward for many years of support to the game at both amateur and proffessional levels.
RL Internationals have been played in this City before Mr Duffen had even heard of the City of Kingston Upon Hull, he has no right to deny us our reward, and you as a council should not have let him do so. You have let us down tremendously.
That'll be the Cllr Minns that didn't want the Stadium in the first place you're saying that too would it?

25000 full capacity isn't commercially attractive? you are a daft lad.

with your 20 odd k supporters and a combined 20 odd k RL supporters in the City..seems like the community cares as much for the tiggers

Of course we are a minority sport compared to the PL, but historically we filled those for Internationals, as we do for the GF at OT and CC at Wembley. Old Trafford welcome the RL with open arms and make efforts to accommodate us.

There hasa been previous Internationals at the KC and proved to be very profitable for both parties. You have missed the point, its not about being cost effective, it's about not agreeing on a date

The RFL wanted to bring the game here as it would have been good business with a sell out gate, And just reward for loyal support of the International game in Hull, Duffen is out of touch with the people of Hull and the history of RL in this City.
In my opinion he does not have the right to deny the RL support in this City to see an International game when offered by the governing body.
You must be Duffens rent boy as I have spoken to lots of City supporters and they all agree Duffen is out of order and has over stepped the mark. You are the only one in agreement with him. Tool.

Nope, Fergy complained about RL spoiling the pitch.

Rent boy? Grow some pubes before commenting, you just show your stupidity and ignorance.
I haven't said if I agree or disagree with the decision, I simply pointed out some of the many errors in your argument.

You do realise that MUH has an alarm that goes of in his living room if anyone on here types any of the following Hull City/SMC/Duffen/Pearson.

The post where you 'put me right' must have been deleted, all I can see is your inaccurate ramblings.
Try reading my post again when you've lost the Hull City chip off your shoulder.
