born in airlie str,1939.german landmine that fell on boulevard, also blew up half of our house.thats why i dont like germans.not because they blew our house and boulevard up,but because the gerry pillock was aiming for craven park.
Great win lads. Massive slap on the backs. 5 debutant players so bound to be clicky. Walker looks class. Simm big unit and runs hard. Long staff never stops. Really pleased and Well done Mr Hodgson. 5 th place. COYH

Praising Rovers players, you almost sound upset we lost

Agree we definitely got lucky today especially when outscored in try’s but Coote was awful with his boot and the VR gave us a lucky break.
All 5 debutants stood up and made an impact on the game and the team. Yet still some of the senior group who again fail to really step up. Thought Gale was poor to start with and gave a stupid penalty away but then seemed to knuckle down. Pity we let Sims carry on trying to put the big shots in without sitting him on his booty I’m pretty sure a couple of his hits were more like shoulder charges than attempts at tackles.
The enthusiasm and speed the new ads played was refreshing and hopefully will continue and become infectious on the old stagers.
Would have liked to have seen Hodgson use Hookem a lot earlier as really is pointless sitting him for 77 mins to give him 3 minutes just seems a wasted bench spot particularly in hot weather.
Just thankful for the win but still a hell of a lot needs addressing
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

You can’t compete with youth, it’s natural, unbridled and fast, has no fear and actually enjoys what they are doing.
Laidlaw, was exceptional, as was Walker, Simms, and Longstaff, and Brown, cobbling together a team that wins a Derby is some achievement, I’ve criticised Hodge in the past, but boy that was entertaining stuff, Big Chris got my vote for motm, closely followed by the short sighted Robert Hicks.
