I honestly think the club are targeting a fullback who can play in the halves and a hooker who can do the same rather than a direct replacement for Clifford.

Not for me, we need a halfback to replace Ckifford not a centre who can cover 6, we already have two of them

Being honest considering the club have known losing Clifford was a distinct possibility if he performed well, I'd be more than a little disappointed if they haven't planned sufficiently or have failed to sign another specialist half and go with more of a utility option. The recruitment was always going to be a tough prospect with the amount of players that were out of contract with an ever decreasing player pool to choose from though we have seemingly also made it even harder with some decisions taken.

I know we don't know the full picture etc but as much I have tried to stay quite positive about the overhaul that been needed and believing the club have all under control, I can't help starting to feel some concerns.

Nothing we didn't really reallt already know but now confirmed by the club that Gaz Ellis is leaving.

Sounds as though he is leaving the sport all together.
