Just a couple of the stories emerging from this:
Hull High Fliers Trampoline Club, having been running for 34 years now, have nowhere else to go in the city.
The Yorkshire Jets (one of only 8 netball superleague franchises) who bring elite level netball to the city twice a season will no longer be able to do so.

Let's see the SMC is losing money so lets spend £50k + £20k on a temporary floor so that we reduce the income from the venue. Really good business sense MR. Allam.
If it wasn't so annoying and serious you would laugh.
On another point doesn't the venue belong to Hull City Council and I would have thought such a major alteration to the venue would need approval from them. Taking it to the extreme if the Allams wanted to dig up the pitch and make the KC into a Swimming Pool would the Council be able to prevent them?
This is appalling the arena and stadium were built for community use. The council have created this by agreeing to the lease agreement that basically gives whoever is in charge of the SMC a free reign to do whatever. I know they never envisaged a dictator to by in charge but they should never have been so stupid in the first place.
