i agree but lets give him a chance. He certainly wasnt a first choice for the club and i doubt was even on the clubs radar until recently after other targets fell through. Cant get any enthusiasm for next season at the moment. We are adding some size in the forwards but our backs are bang average. Two average centres, the weakest wings in S/L and we still havnt resolved the half back, nine, or full back positions. Smith keeps saying things are on track but i just wonder if his patience will run out as its obvious he is working to strict budgets

After the last two weeks of poor performances on the field and now nothing to play for, coupled with HKR playing well and getting back to winning ways and likely to be in the playoffs, if the club have any media savvy at all then next week will be the time to make an announcement. I dont mean Ashworth and Tindall as that would smack of desperation

As if the DJ would know what a world class player looks like.

Any signings we now make or announce simply have to be top notch or i fear for the club. If we go on to to sign a load of average super league jos from here on in then we are most deffo destined for bottom four next year. It could all dramatically change if they announced say Bentley and Ackers then id be happy. Anything less and we dont stand a chance of being anything other than cannon fodder

Stop talking sense mate…just get all the doom merchants knickers in a twist.
Surely signing Walker would make a lot of sense now, given Trueman’s injury. He’s been at the club before, has the quality and Litten would cover any injuries anyway. Hoy to 6 with the new 7, then back to FB when Trueman is ready (unless Walker is killing it, obviously). Walker could cover other positions as a utility back I’m sure, if necessary.
Can’t see us signing two halves. It would also be a bit of a waste of cap space, given Trueman would still be on the cap. Unless we signed a more utility player in the Hampshire mould, as has been mentioned, on the cheap then it won’t happen IMO.
Think Tony will have another one or two surprises up his sleeve. With so many of our first team players leaving, we’ll surely have a lot of cap space for some more quality after the players we already know are coming in. A quality British forward would be ideal.
I think yesterday showed Hoy might not be a bad option in the halves, we only started to look half decent with the ball when he came on and added a running and passing threat. We need to nail the recruitment for the 7 position it's absolutely vital for next season.
I agree on walker for next season, if not either Broadbent or Jowitt (depending on who goes down) would be good options.

I agree on walker for next season, if not either
