I don't think we can afford to carry an ageing half back, people want a world class talent, preferrably somewhere near their best form, Orford won't be that when he's 34+.

Personally, I think we're not far from being in a position where we can't afford to and might have to risk taking the hit of a year too many.

How old was Johns and Jones when they was over here...more so Jones as he was still a superb player at his age.

Agree but there is a question of exactly who else is available who is younger. Thorman is here on 1 year to (badly) plug the gap we cant afford to have another situation like that. Very tricky balancing act.

31 IIRC. Just been about that long and looked a bit rough so seemed older.

He was 29/30 when he joined Catalans.
Born 1976, joined Cats in 2005.
