We all know we're a basket case of a club, we all know we're struggling to sign decent players and we've already got plenty of youth at the club.already, what we needed was experience and we've signed it. I think we'll be around 8th next year with this team which will be an Improvement - I don't want to do a Dan Tomlinsonesque roll call of everyone we've signed but there's some decent players in there and don't forget we've got a new coach who's big on fitness coming in, a better backroom, better training facilities. We will 100% be better than this year imo
Sorry Seb,whilst you can make players fitter you cant get the fitness into 32/35 year olds than you can into players in their mid twenties This Saga trip is going to explode in the face of the club as the farly long term contracts of these players wont allow the changes to be made for season 2026 and seems to be geared in the hope that we have five or six of the younger players as regular first team players in 2026/7 its pie in the sky and will never happen

No quota spots, nobody available domestically there’s not really anything else that can be done. Rapana aside I still think it’s terrible. We are so far behind everyone else at the minute and there won’t be a part time side next year it needed to be much better.
The context has to be that there’s not a lot available, but I’m not having that there wouldn’t be halfback/dummy half options available better then Cust and Sezer with quota spots. Worryingly I think it might be the coaches choice to go with these as he knows them and trusts them but I don’t think super league and especially the position we are in especially allows for sentiment.

Yes as long as they are on the field and not sitting in the stand taking selfies What bothers me is the distinct lack of pace and a backline of Briscoe,Hardaker and Chamberlain. This has to be the oldest team in S/L. Said Chamberlain would be a first choice centre but met with the usual Recruitment isnt finished yet, well it is now and its p--s poor

Its frustration thats the problem with Sao trying to make things happen when your team is getting hammered i can understand. If he is here you will see a much more controlled Ligi Sao next season but he needs to be in the front row not shifted out wide
[quote="Marcus's Bicycle"]Strangest signing so far. He's never played with Myler, not his mate and not related to the coach.
Gaz Ellis was involved in the negotiations Which is what i said should happen when dealing in Australia if Myler wont get off his bum and visit agents and potential targets personally
Gives us too quick wingers and a FB, both centres can make a break, as long we support we score trys.
Barron and Martin have to be first choice wings next season. They have been the two standout younger players for me and have the frames to add a bit more body weight without losing pace Briscoe can always fill in at centre if Walker leaves
