I’m not sure all the details of his controversy but from what it looks like, he had sex with a very young girl that was only just legal (when he was 23) whilst he was doing school visits. Does that make her 18 or 16?
Either way it doesn’t really sit well with me as it’s an abuse of power.
2 of our signings this year I would’ve avoided. Let’s hope they at least perform on the pitch.
Seems she was 17, not familiar with the Australian schools setup but UK equivalent would be a player visiting a 6th form college.

Must admit this signing is somewhat underwhelming and odd signing on the face of it especially in terms of the team culture that TS has spoken about.
The line 'Hull Live understands that Hull moved quickly and efficiently to secure Okunbur' could suggest it was a signing made out of desperation as HF says after possibly loosing out on other targets. Lets hope he isn't another Reynolds/Evans type signing and goes well in SL and he's here with a point to prove.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

The dogs are clearing the decks and will want cap space for next season. Maybe Gus did us a 2-4-1 with Pele

He was 23 and she was 17. No crime commited though obviously not something he should be proud of to say the least.

Yeh I agree with that but not with those who say that Smith is already sacrificing his principles or making signings in desperation. I know that he was offered the opportunity to make signings after Evans and Griffin left but turned the opportunity down because he didn't want to buy someone for the sake of it and so I guess the panic buying scenario is unlikely. I also trust him to not bring anyone into the current set up unless he is convinced they will fit in the culture, otherwise he will have been wasting his time this season eradicating the old culture and replacing it with the new one. So I expect long and hard talks have gone on before the signing was completed, if of course it has been completed. You can't fault the experience size and age angles but as you say Chris somewhat underwhelming at present, but let's hear what Smith has to say about it once the Club decide to announce it.

So a debatable topic when it comes to morals ans standards but nothing illegal (which id imagine would have blocked a UK visa anyway)
To quote Phillip Schofield "unwise but not illegal"
