Sezer is a starting NRL half (albeit in not a great team) but he's far and away better than anything we've been linked with aside from Lam, he's got a decent injury record, knows super league and the English lifestyle and I don't imagine he'd be on marquee money

Always makes me laugh when I see these type of comments. Even if it’s true and he’s not on big money what does that matter to a supporter, it’s not our money? As supporters we either think he’s a good player or not his wages shouldn’t factor into it.
I can see in theory that it could mean that we could have more salary cap space if we was at the limit and bring in more players, but there’s no way we’ll spend anywhere near the salary cap (wasn’t we a million behind Wigan’s spend this year?) so it’s absolutely irrelevant. Not just this but I remember people celebrating Abdul’s potential marquee dispensation too. It would only mean something if we were at the cap limit. He’ll either do a job or won’t. Sadly we are in no position to care about salary cap dispensations.

Because if he's not on marquee money that could give us an option to spend it on a centre. As fans we like to speculate how the caps been managed and what we could potentially still bring in, to me it matters if we're getting financial value out of a player, especially given the precarious financial position we are in. If we have any more Reynolds/Brown/Pele/Evans/Hoy I could probably go on it could have a horrendous impact on the club, I don't fancy seeing us do a Bradford (which could be a real possibility depending on investment).

If you have watched Wests this year, he has played OK this year and the win record is much better with him playing.
But at 33/34, and him pairing with Abdul, gives us no pace, if he was at 7 with someone quick, it wouldn't be bad for a year, but it's a slow looking half back pairing for next season.
