When we sign players from the nrl, I like to read the forums to get the fans opinions of them, very few bulldogs fans were sad to see knockonbur leaving
Willie Mason podcast said okunbor would kill Superleague.. After seeing his first 2 games I have to say he looks poor. For the size of him he runs with no aggression. Maybe he could do with a haircut.

A Bulldog fan I know said when he signed for us he dropped the pen.
Good effort from the young lads, Staveley went very well. But we all know lane will still get in the 17 most weeks with or without injuries, he is an error and penalty machine who can’t defend.
Great effort. Staverly Looked very good . Made yards every time. Ashworth Brown great first stint. Smith Hoy went ok. The 3/4 looked a lot better. Walker just class at FB. Shame about last 10 min but we where out of our feet. The least said about the sending off. Well played lads

If he ran with aggression, he could be facing a red card.
I agree Lane should drop out the squad as Staveley looked better than him going forward tonight. But it's still worth pointing out Lane made 54 tackles and only missed 2. 14 tackles from marker. He really did work hard tonight, even if execution let him down a few times.
Our 2nd highest tackler was Hoy with 28, who didn't miss a tackle. Not bad for a "Turnstile". But shows how hard Lane worked in defence by nearly double our 2nd highest tackler.

Hoy being a turnstile is a myth, missed a few last year, when a prop ran over him from two metres out
Last two weeks he has produced two try saving tackles, ok one was a penalty try, but he was a bit unlikely as first contact was the shoulder and he had no other choice.
