Wouldn’t be my choice but the club are obviously struggling financially, the reality of that financial mess is that we have to sign players that simply won’t get contracts anywhere else. I’d still sooner take a gamble on an unknown (You’d hope with Myler and Cartwright we’d be in a better position to judge these players) but you can understand after the likes of Okunbor and Pele why the club are swinging the other way and going for experience. I just hope Adam is confident that we’ll still have a licence for 2026 even if we wooden spoon and that the money we save on players will get us back on track financially and quickly. I’m not sure the fanbase will last for 2025 but it’s obviously a calculated risk I hope they’ve got the sums right.
Sullivan is going to Hull and Naden is going with him. (if I read correctly).
Sullivan was a risk, a gamble signing. A total spare tyre once we signed Latu/Galvin/Sezer/etc. I don't get how we sign a guy like that on BIG money for 4 years.
Maybe it was that if Sullivan proved to be a 800k+ player, we have him for 4 years. Instead we seem to sign far too many unproven players on "potential". This isn't working and has to stop.
