Wouldn't really want any of the candidates the hull daily mail mentioned; McDermott, Ward, McGuire or Grix, the only other British coach we should consider is Shaun Wane if he could be tempted away from England /Wigan. if not, best to find an ambitious, well thought of Australian assistant coach

Will Chamberlain and Briscoe make any difference whether we finish second bottom or third bottom the answer is no. Will it bring in any more fans and the answer is no If this is the club being proactive in player loans/recruitment then we are just bin dipping
Both those signings improve us and bring experience into the team. Newsflash, we are not going to sign 17 top class players over night. At the moment them young kids are getting battered and its not helping there development.
We are literally signing what is available to us at the moment like it or not. Players who can bring the ball out the backfield is a start, it might just stop us having to play an entire 80 minutes in our own half.

Wane wont come here, not a chance.
Id love to be wrong but that would be a massive downgrade for him. Im not keen on any coach whose got ties with Rovers either, just adds unneccessary preassure and rarely works out.
If we go down the Aussie route id suspect it would be a coach thats already being here.

Very disappointing, but not surprising, had a feeling it would go the way of Watson, get the feeling he wanted to come, but didn't want to relocate his family or commute.

Rome wasnt built in a day.
you must be joking to think Briscoe and Chamberlain will improve us. I hope Chamberlain is very short term but to give Briscoe an 18 month deal is crazy. His top level playing days are over, injuries catching up with him as they usually do at his age, plus he is not match fit having not played since round 3. The problem is we are bin dipping for players.Clubs dont want to release players on loan and we are not an attractive proposition for players, thats why i think its better to go with what we have given we have seven players back shortly and concentrate our effort and available money into targets for next season. We have players who can bring the ball out of backfield thay are called forwards and should be used a lot more than we do to do that job. Of course we are not going to sign 17 quality players overnight thats why its important the club put their effort and money into players for next season.Sending Myler out to Australia for 2/3 weeks meeting agents face to face and talking to some players should be a priority. Signing two or three average reserve players will not make any difference to our end of season league position or add any extra pay at the gate supporters so i dont see the point. The only thing that will save this club is money to be able to add several quality players and a couple of real exciting names to get the fan base interested again in watching Hull FC

I find the whole situation a but weird, surley the first conversation through the agent, allowed Rowley to say thanks but no thanks (i dont want to uproot my family). Rather than go through all the negotiation process with Rowley and Salford.
This happened with Watson and we made a huge error with the 2nd choice, absolute key that we don't make that error again.
Think it has to be an NRL assistant or out of work ex NRL coach.

I think Briscoe is a good acquisition- he’s available, willing, a reminder of good times, can bring out of backfield, and sets a standard. Think he may be good for the young backs and be a good spirit in camp. We cannot get the Bevan French’s so must be pragmatic. I think the ‘rebuild' for now should be via small bricks and having injured players return -this is a start. I think a big turn off for many potential new recruits is the pressure of being at Hull FC and the unforgiving fans we have. That said we have endured a lot in the last few seasons but we have to believe the club/players are trying
