Connor apparently in the combined nations squad according to Rugby League ITK on Twitter. Via his Jamaica eligibility. Not sure on the accuracy of that account.

Unsure on the Jamaican bit, but he has asked to play I hear. Cheers Jake

The Leigh village stewards and their covid policing were more interesting than the rugby once the scoreline was a foregone.

Obviously bad for FC but this would be so funny that I really want it to be true.
In any case, if it's three players from each side then if Connor didn't play them we'd lose Ma'u instead.

After being snubbed by Wane I hope Connor plays out of his skin and embarrasses some of the clearly inferior players who have been selected ahead of him. Connor maybe sees this as a big chance to prove to Wane that he has to be in the squad. I hope he delivers.

It’s just more mismanagement on by the RFL. Instead of having the fans and clubs coming together as a whole to support the national team all they’ve done is get people to resent it due to how they’ve handled it. All it needed was some forethought and planning for a week with no other fixtures taking place. It’s not like they not had any time to think about it. Following a season where the sport/clubs were impacted heavily and the current season it’s still having an impact on clubs which are struggling yet the RFL think it’s great to hamper clubs even further with this fixture. Not only that but it makes a total mockery of the SL fixtures. If the governing body can’t take the league format seriously how the hell can they expect any one to take it or the sport seriously.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
