He still has JUST enough credit in the bank to keep his job. He built one trophy winning team let him have the chance to build another.
Despite the hammerings we are 4th. The table doesn't lie It's not down to luck. It's decided on points won not points difference. If we stay in a play off place that would be satisfactory and have exceeded most peoples prediction at the start of the season. If we continue to get embarrassed and slide down the table then he'll have to go.
It's no coincidence that most of these pathetic performances this season and last happen when Ellis isn't playing. It's embarrassing when you're relying on a 39 year old who had to come out of retirement but that's how it is. I'd love to see a win/loss ratio over the years when he plays and not. We desperately need leaders and hopefully the new signings are made of that material.

I think Radford has a few more plus points than Betts.

It's not that we lose, it's the way we lose. Our last 4 defeats have been absolute hammerings. We don't seem to have "the stuff" that top teams have when things go wrong. We just go into a hole and give up completely.
Yes, Radford can get them up for it occasionally. We do pull off the off big scalp. Yes, it was great the we finally won at Wembley (and twice). Yes, the record win against Rovers was very sweet. Yes, being one game off winning the league leaders shield was special.
But look at the downs: All time club record defeat, all time club record home defeat, joint all time club record losing streak, biggest defeat in the history off Magic Weekend. These are not acceptable, yet they've happened so often.
I think this will be Radford's last season. I don't think they'll sack him, but I think they won't renew his contract.

We've had two of the greatest days in the club's history during Radford's tenure but the inconsistency is alarming as is the number of hammerings.
2017 18-58 at home to Salford 24-52 at home to Leeds 0-45 at Magic to Saints
2018 10-72 at Wakefield 10-80 at Warrington
2019 12-63 at home to Warrington 16-62 at Saints 2-55 at Magic to Huddersfield
We've shipped 50+ five times in under a year - actually five times in twenty-five games.
Worth pointing out too that Radford is our longest serving coach since Arthur Bunting and only Bunting has had a longer spell as Hull coach in the last fifty years.
I don't really understand what a lot of Hull fans expect. As a collective we seem to mentally position ourselves up with the likes of Wigan and Saints when the reality is if you look at the results over the past 20-25 years the club's peers are really the likes of Castleford and Catalans, which is where we are now. I'd also rather have the sporadic hammerings above than spreading these points conceded over a wider series of games. We'd be serious relegation candidates of that happened.

I'll be amazed if Radford isn't here this year, the way Pearson speaks about him and backing him by to change the squad. Unless we have a finish to the season similar to last year I think he will still be here.

I agree with Jake, he'll stay! However, 12 games in which we conceded 30 points between Magic weekends, does however smack to a lot of people of a group of players who are 'picking their matches' and its the fact that once we are two or three tries behind we as fans are all resigned to the fact that we will lose and its just then a question then of by how many.

Id like to see Radford moved on , A poster said a month back " the club has gone stale and a need to freshen it all aspects of the club up " . Here we are again , discussing another hammering .
