Connor Shaul Tuimavave Scott Faraimo Kelly Sneyd Taylor Houghton Matongo Griffin Westerman Bowden
Green Paea Litten Manu
With a proper playmaker at FB you dont really need that extra pivot at 13, so Westerman can go back to playing wider where he has had success in the past. Griffin also adds a bit of size and pace to the back row, and whilst he will have to make more tackles in the second row they will be easier tackles. He is less likely to be caught out of position by the quick guys, which is often a problem for him at centre. Bowden will just play as a prop, giving us three big old battering rams in him, Masi and Taylor.
Shaul on the wing gives us someone with genuine pace and more importantly the acceleration to finish some of the chances that Talanoa simply can't. We won't lose his kick returns which are a strength, and he can still get in and scoot. It just means he isnt going to be clogging up any passing moves. Scott is a gamble but I think he has something about him and with a good preseason I think he can really progress. The halves pick themselves. Then its a big bench with Litten there to inject a bit of pace around DH against tiring defences. You can even bring him on for one of the second rows and have Houghton do a spell at 13 to change things up a bit if required. I would like to get Miloudi in there somewhere but I'm not sure where or how, but we will get injuries, so he will still have a part to play.
I dont for a second think Radford will pick a team like that, but I really like the look of it.

I like the look of it but would have Mini on the bench

Why?? If there's one thing Shaul is, it's safe under the high ball.

As much as I respect our full back, agree with Jake on this one, the wingers in our modern day game are much better suited to take cross field, and high kicks if they are tall and rangy with ability to out jump the opposing defender/attacker. Jamie’s height would be exposed on the flanks.

To be honest, any winger with a running jump, can outjump any defending winger, so height isn't an issue for me
Probably would do against the like of Burgess or a Monaghan type winger, but think about it the other way Sneyd and Albo kicking at Wembley to Tuli or Jamie size matters

Regan Grace doesnt have to jump to score his tries.High kicks to the corner is not a big play for Saints they have good centres to supply the pass to their wings and the pace to break from deep. Contrast that to us and its all we have
Not sure if it has been announced but Connor Wynne has signed a full time contract with FC and was told that he'll replace Shaul eventually. I suppose that's all down to how he develops really though. Good player and if he gets his head down, he could be one hell of a player.
