I've had to explain to the same person what "foul to the head" means. And who claimed it was one. The guy doesn't appear too bright.
Bureta Faraimo (Hull FC) - Grade B High tackle - 1 Match Penalty Notice.
The HDM seem to think he will be available to play tomorrow...
Quote:But the nature of the Easter weekend double header of fixtures means the disciplinary process for the Good Friday games will not take place until Wednesday, with Faraimo therefore available for tomorrow’s meeting against Wakefield but likely to miss Friday’s trip to St Helens.
Reported today (April 1st), the day after the disciplinary meeting.

"the disciplinary process for the Good Friday games will not take place until Wednesday".
If they'd said that any punishment would not take effect until after Monday, then fair enough.
Offences normally get charged on a Monday then get reviewed on a Tuesday. I'm assuming the charges for good Friday were done yesterday, the Easter Monday offences will be charged on Tuesday then all will be reviewed and bans handed out on Wednesday?

I hope he does Still cant see anything wrong with the tackle. The arms are high accross the chest but well below the chin and head. Its more of a chest to chest tackle rather than shoulder. The player was up quickly and didnt need attention so there is no way he was hit on the head.

I don't think so.
The RFL website says.....
Following the Round 8 Betfred Super League games over Thursday and Good Friday, the Match Review Panel have issued the following penalties:
Bureta Faraimo (Hull FC) - Grade B High tackle - 1 Match Penalty Notice Zeb Taia (St Helens) - Grade A Trip - No Further Action
Watts received his "3 match penalty notice" on the Monday. Watts had until 11.00am on Tuesday, March 6 to challenge the Penalty Notice.
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

I've looked at it again and there is contact but still not sure it's a red and certainly does not warrant a game ban either given the near whole match off the field as punishment (as already mentioned by others). Also penalising on outcome is a rubbish way to decide the severity of the penalty, just because a player gets up quickly doesn't mean that there wasn't a more heinous or reckless attempt than one that had a worse outcome but the attempt was just a careless action but with other unpredictable factors (like the Ellis crusher tackle last year which was BS) or incidental contact due to factors beyond physiological control - well unless you remove tackling from rugby completely.

I am confused about the ban. RFL website says penalty notices (effectively bans) come into force at midnight following their issue - I would assume that means he misses Monday. But with the RFL nothing is ever clear!

For me it was a needless 'hard' tackle that just wasnt needed at the time. Faraimo has been loved twice and knocked out previously so you'd think that would make him think a little yet then tries to go in hard on someone even though it doesnt seem to be part of his game so imo deserves what he gets for basically being a bit stupid
Oh and it was another needless sending off for us that are becoming a bit of a joke tbh.
