Matongo is starting to look the part and doesn't look out of place. Give it a couple of years and he'll be running over defences soon. As for Bumpy saying Michaels is better than Talanoa, no chance. He offers us so much more, he can terrify the opposition that they just stand off him. I'm a huge Michaels fan, but Talanoa every time for me.

Excellent and very dominant performance against a Salford side who i feel the team made them look poor/lacklustre by how well we played.. Brad Fash is making a name for himself and the crop of the youngsters coming through IMO. Watts when he's not playing silly buggers shows what a class act he is. Yet again Washbrook shows when he's given the responsibility and he's on form that he can do a great job, his effort was outstanding, he's grown/got better as a player since last season. This is probably why we won't be getting Dean Hadley back to the club (nor indeed JA) Loved the way stevie michaels monstered the salford winger with just a few minutes to go. Good performance all round and the second best full game performance behind the Cas home match for me.

A rested Talano is doing okay but his dips and past perormances are too erratic and his defence at times against better attacking teams than salford were today is woeful. Last two games he's done well no doubt but I stick by what i said that Michaels offers us more as an all around player who can play on either wing and either centre position, defensively is superior to Talanoa in every way. He yet again mopped up when Fonua completely missed his man.

I'd say the only things Michaels has got over Talanoa is defence (although Talanoa isn't exactly poor in defence) and heart/determination. Haven't seen anyone put the body on the line like Michaels does each game for a long time. Teams are scared of Talanoa with ball in hand especially from acting half, that's why they stand off him pretty much every time. He creates so many opportunities for others it's a great asset to have.
