I think its a shame that the game didn't get this format sorted out say 10 years ago, when the Salary Cap was much more equal between the NRL and Super League and Super League had bigger name overseas players. Instead they've tried launching it in an era where our salary cap is massively lower and there aren't many players who Aussie TV viewers will be familiar with playing in the UK.
Still poor that the RFL has left things this late to sort out the format though.

Absolutely agree with you there but what is the format, or is there one? What is the criteria for playing in these games? Its usually the Grand final winners but then how is it decided who else plays in the other game/s?

Glad we aren't in it. An extra game in a crowded season that in the end means nothing but will probably result in defeat with a few injuries or possible disciplinary issues thrown in.

So we won't of just dropped a friendly game if awarded a wcc? think about the stadium it would of been packed now we play cas away boxing day and probably rover's too and some other rubbish friendly all with the same potential to get injury's ????
It's always the same people,. we're not in it due to a rejection/no team wants it so nah, just an extra game, can't make any money, we'll get tonked/injuries/disciplinary, we'll be ahead of the top 2 etc Those in that bracket need to give their heads a bang! Testing yourself against a top NRL team is what the players want and the majority of fans.
Guess some drab friendly against a non SL team is way more exciting going by their logic...

The stadium wouldn't have been packed. It would hve been a good attendance but certainly not a sell out or even near 20k.
