Average at best. Another Kris Welham.
And yet in that 2014 season our win ratio was greater with Crooks playing (& indeed as it was with Miller playing) than we did without. A young man being destroyed by an out of his depth coach is not so easy to get over, especially when you have performed extremely well as a rookie. but I'm sure you don't give a fig about that even if it was your own son eh? You state that he 'wandered off to Oz thinking he was all that", you know this for a fact then? You have ALL the facts regarding what happened and why he went there, the club said something else as it happens but please enlighten us as to your personal knowledge. So all those supporters saying how fantastic he had done and everyone else outside the club must have being wrong, including those picking the SL dream team. Whatever he is doing now has being impacted by what happened, we have no idea what might have being for Crooks but your and others lambasting of him is utterly pathetic, it's oh so easy to slag players off once they have left the club either by choice or otherwise.
This season we have seen how average Miller, Arundel and Crooks really are. As for Crooks being "destroyed by an out of his depth coach", are you for real? He was dropped to reserve because he was below par a LONG way below par. He was scoring tries but so what, Dixon Scores tries for fun but is a poor defender, cannot keep his hands on a ball and positionally is a nightmare. Crooks was exactly the same and still is. We sold Lineham without really bothering to try and keep him because his defence was terrible too. A showboater who only likes to score spectacular tries without doing the hard work. In both of the games he has played in against us, he's been shown up.
The irony of someone like you posting this after his pathetic meltdown over Radford isn't lost on me. Radford has improved beyond measure, Crooks hasn't.
Get over yourself - failing that, start a petition.

You've become a parody of yourself. Crooks was not destroyed by Radford, that is complete rubbish. He was found out, pure and simple.
As for win ratios in 2014: Crooks played in thirteen games - we won five and lost eight (38%). In the fifteen games he didn't play we won five, drew two and lost eight (40%).
Miller played in ten, we won four and lost six (40%), he missed eighteen of which we won six, drew two and lost ten (38%). It should be pointed out though that of then ten games he played only two were against teams that finished in the top eight that year. Losses included Rovers twice, Saford and Wakefield.

The irony of you stating "you know this for fact" after already stating "A young man being destroyed by an out of depth coach".
Of course, this is you opinion, something which has been repeatedly pointed out on here. I suppose you are trying to use the "if you say an untruth often enough, then people will start to believe it".
SL dream team? Is that how you judge a player? Kevin Penny made that line up after just 12 first team games
Ben Crooks was overhyped by a small number of fans which, given your own theory, will have had an impact on him I can only imagine this heaped pressure on him (perhaps the reason for his shocker at Wembley ) or it massaged his ego resulting in the much publicise poor attitude the following season.

Just man up and admit you're wrong. You're making yourself look an even bigger idiot than usual, and that's going some!!
The words of fools mean nothing to one who resides in the truth.

You're a fine one for statements without actual facts.
