It was murder yesterday it took me at least 2 minutes and 30 seconds to renew mine and my lad's passes over the phone. I just used plain English - maybe that's a challenge for bumpy.

Well. Be no passes sold on back of Carney. Signing for Salford we had it done. Terms agreed. Permit. Loan to wakey for michaels. Pearson. Radders. Lots of the squad wanted him. Effectively it was 1 player who's stopped it. Personally I'm gutted.

That was the 'talk' last night, very late intervention from Marwan waiving cash. Would just add that his agent (who is also Shannon McDonnell's) apparently doesn't like us much either!

Don't want to sound rude, but I don't believe a word of that. Sounds like the usual spin to me. As if we'd of let 1 player put a stop to signing him a squad player at that. Carney would of had a massive boost on ticket and merchandise sales. Personally don't think this was ever going to happen, if what you say, is what is actually coming out of the club.

So you're saying we never made an enquiry or discussed terms, and that players weren't asked about it? OK then.
Disappointing from a playing perspective he's gone elsewhere. We're a quality three quarter short.

A bit torn with this one. Carney would have been a great signing, and one which would have completed our squad. But, is it really worth the risk of causing any sort of rift in the camp in such a big year for the club? Whether its one player or ten, people would start to take sides.
Hopefully this will mean Lancaster gets more of a chance of getting into the first team this year, and look how well that's worked out for Logan.
Plus, it means we can sing the Stevie Michaels Party song again.
