I'm kind of in two minds, I want to go because I don't want to feel just because some turd is ruining my club that that should be enough to put me off from going when I can't get to that many games anyway (the £50-£60 cost per match is irrelevant) but offering my 'support' to the club at a time when a mutiny is being called for because of how dire the situation is doesn't sit well with me either.
I've always come to watch us, good or bad, win or lose. I know it sounds like a IAKOW, it isn't, I'm usually the first to pipe up and say we're carp (& vehemently so!) but the club is in my blood as it all of us and to not go because of how things are and because of the shiate we're playing sometimes feels as if you're being forced to act in a certain way and that doesn't feel right to me either, I can't really explain why.
Even if fans don't turn up do you think that will really change the outcome of what Pearson does when he's shown to be either ignorant of his mistakes or just so immature & lame as a himan being he can't stick his hand up and say he just got it plain wrong (the third reason rumour that he is somehow working for Allam and it's a deliberate long term ploy to get us out is ridicuous)
It may or may not work if people don't turn up, Pearson is a business man though and would act upon a crowd dwindling to near 7000 and below. The Cas CC game is a perfect chance for such a boycott as they can't add passholders on who dont attend to boost up the attendance. I'd much rather get my fix by going to watch the under 19s play in all honesty, imagine that if the 19s got a bigger crowd then the first team. Would never happen though too many are to happy just to turn up regardless and clap some of the worst stuff I have ever seen. You didnt even get one come on you Hull last night thats how deflated the place is, Ive never being so embarrassed to be an FC fan ever. I dont even wear colours now just so people dont ask me how the game went, cant bring myself to even talk about it!
In my years of supporting this club I have never refused to go but I do this season and I have a season pass, there not worth the agony or frustration anymore. Enough is enough, when pearson came he said we would never be embarrassed again but if anything this is worse then Agar era.
I left early last night for the first I can remember; I don't think I have ever been so bored watching a match.
We are completely devoid of any kind of attacking threat and we are going backwards. From where we sit we can here the coaching team and sometimes it is farcical. Last night, Sneyd was getting attention off the pitch for a cut and Radford was shouting into the radio, "get somebody on", "get somebody on", "anybody".
We never seem to build momentum, play the balls are just sooo slow. Jamie Shaul runs into to acting half to make yards and has to stand waiting for the play the ball. Liam Watts makes good yards and offloads, who to, Feka! Good effort by Feka to at least be there but he's not going to go the next 40 yards is he? Danny Houghton comes away from acting half and goes sideways, no runners and so as he is crabbing across he has to run away from the opposition, drops a ball off to a stationary player who runs into the opposition defense who've just moved up and stop him easily.
Michaels ends up with ball after one of our ponderous attempts at putting it through more than two sets of hands and decides he's going to take McGilvary on the outside 2 yards in from touch. Well that's never going work, yet 5 minutes later when McGilvary was crocked for a while and could hardly move, Yeaman just drives it in ignoring the opportunity outside him.
Lineham can't pass from acting half; ok, it's not his job to but when Talanoa insists on driving it in close to the opposition line, Tom comes in picks it up and has to swing the ball right before passing left like a grandfather clock, the opposition are off the line and another tackle is gone.
I know they have to spin it, but the coaching staff are delusional. Sheffield wasn't a "professional performance";our limited success this season comes from individuals. I would suggest the majority of our tries come from individual efforts and mistakes of others rather than tactically breaking down the opposition. Our build up play doesn't create space for players; we rely on smashing the door down, hope the opposition drop a kick or something off the cuff.
With 25 minutes to go last night my 14 year old son said to me 'are we leaving early tonight Dad?'. His friend who came to a few games the back end of last season and spent his birthday money on a pass and shirt for this season said ' I haven't been watching rugby that long but that was rubbish'. Basically I was sat there for 75 minutes (left 5 early) bored, the only reason I didn't go earlier is because I'm not sure when the park and ride buses arrive.
The only way forward now is for Radford and Last to be fired or walk, if not AP will be looking at serious financial losses next season, probably made worse by the reduced amount of money from Sky his Championship club will receive.

The other depressing thing about the club at the minute is that around us in the East stand at least there are more young passholders than ever, as the 'extra' fans we gained when we moved to the KC have now had kids of their own and are bringing them along. The way we are playing these kids will be reporting their parents to the NSPCC If they keep getting dragged along the boring games!
