there isn't any alternative though, Klein going home and Silverwoods suspension has only made it worse, there isn't loads of other refs waiting to take their jobs

my only gripe with the referee tonight was 2 blatant grapple tackles, arms around the neck, one after each other late in the second half, the first on yeaman, after bombing the try scoring pass to briscoe, halibert was stood right next to him and blatantly ignored this and the following grapple tackle on the next play when he awarded us a penalty for cas being offside instead

In my view this ref looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights, he's been thrown into the deep end far to early. Through circumstances more than anything it has to be said!

He hadn't got a clue that ref for both sides, i said to my mate at the time that is the worst refereeing display i have seen in a long time. Knock ons weren't given when they should have been (for both sides) players were offside (again for both sides) and holding down (both sides) was very rarely penalized and i would be delighted never to have him again because it's all well and good winning but at times tonight some of the decisions were unbelievable

Oh and has anyone got a picture of the scoreboard at FT tonight to replace the Wigan one in my sig

But in 30 years of following Hull fc and watching and playing in many amatuer games as well got to say he is the worst i have EVERseen and he shouldn't be allowed another game imo, it's a multi million pound indusrty and Stuart Cumming puts a bufoon in charge of athletes im just glad no one suffered a serious injury with that clown in charge

He's even too good to ref Celtic Vs Salford, with no offense to either side. Lets hope we don't get him at Murrayfield eh ?

What summed it up for me was when he didn't have a clue what to give and had to run accross the pitch to his touchjudge to give FC a clear hand over.

Totallly out of his depth for mine. The ten was very erratic from 8 to 12 depending on the speed of the play the ball and his ability to get back. Erratic in his penalties for holding down with some similar incidents resulting in penalties and other not.

Never in command of the game or earning any espect from the players, hence the constant bickering at him. Don't know if it's a language barrier of not but certainly not up to SL level.

On the balance of play however was equally poor for both teams and did not make any game breaking mistakes or decisions.

Anybody know what Cummings has actually done to improve refereeing standards in our game since he took charge ? Was given a budget for full time referees but that appears to have made no difference at all in standards. Instead we have to put up with a 'token' frenchman who was so far out of his depth reffing a Super League game it was unbelievable. There may not be a plethora of refereeing talent available but the bloke who reffed Fax v Widnes (forget his name) would at least be able to keep up with play and count. Not good enough it's Cummings who should be the first one down the road. Time for a shake up.

NO-ONE is blaming the ref for Hull's loss!!! We all know why we lost and I believe there's not one fan who hasn't congratulated Cas on their win!!



Have you completely disregarded the Cas fans saying the self same thing we are about the ref because it doesn't suit your theory??

It was quite easily the worst officiating I have ever seen. 2 perfect examples.



1. The spear tackle was a very dangerous one and was rightly penalised however the tackler wasn't even put on report! never mind sin-binned or sent off! Shocking decision regarding an issue we are supposed to be stamping out of the game.



2. Cas put a bomb up in the air (on the last tackle) which everyone let bounce. The ball bounced back towards the cas player who caught it and was then tackled. The ref then gave a handover back to Cas! Cas were tackled on the last and still hand the ball when he wanted to "handover" the ball back to them. Its not even a school boy error as even a school boy can see you cant hand the ball BACK to the team that have still got it! Imbecile.



I hope to never see him spoil a game in SL again.

Missing the fifth tackle and having to ask the touch judge said it all for me.

Tell you what mate,you had to be there,amateurish is insulting the grass roots refs.This guy was a total joke.

And no,I am not blaming him for the defeat,as he was useless for both teams.

Saints had him for our away game at Huddesfield and to be honest he wasn't that bad

It's Ian Smith thats the worst Ref in Superleague as he was the Ref when Hull KR beat us

and that was an excuse as he robbed us

(even Dick Turpin wore a mask)

registered just because HULLFC lost, a really grown up post that.

thats exactly what he did his ineptness spoilt the game from the minute we kicked off.
